Product Overview

Cyclone is proudly an exclusive Partner to KRAL Pumps in Austria. KRAL two-screw and three-screw pumps are high-efficiency positive displacement rotary systems engineered for the precise, low-pulsation transfer of heavy fuel oils (HFO), lubricating fluids, and hydraulic oils. Designed for integration into robust industrial frameworks — including marine, power generation, and heavy manufacturing — these units provide exceptional volumetric efficiency and high power density. They are highly suited for critical applications such as boiler feeds, burner systems, and heavy-duty lubrication circuits.

Unlike centrifugal pumps, screw pumps operate on a linear flow rate principle that maintains a consistently high volumetric output regardless of fluctuations in fluid viscosity. This allows for precise, cost-effective flow regulation directly via motor speed control, ensuring optimal performance across highly variable operating conditions.

Core Engineering Features

Pulsation-Free & Low Shear Dynamics

The synchronized axial delivery of the multi-spindle geometry guarantees a constant flow rate. This continuous displacement eliminates pressure pulsations, mitigating system vibration, piping fatigue, and the degradation of shear-sensitive media.

Optimized Tribology & Material Durability

Pump housings are cast from high-strength nodular iron (EN-GJS-400) and paired with precisely nitrided steel spindles. A specialized internal heat treatment minimizes mechanical friction, allowing the pumped medium to function as a continuous hydrodynamic lubricant. This structural integrity ensures extended operational lifecycles, even when processing abrasive and corrosive media.

High Power Density

The systems offer exceptional delivery rates relative to their physical footprint. This compact architectural design is essential for spatially constrained skid integrations and retrofit installations requiring exact dimensional drop-in replacements for legacy fleets.

Advanced Control Integration

Due to the strict linearity between delivery rate and rotational speed, volumetric flow can be precisely and economically managed using Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).

Hermetic Magnetic Couplings (Optional)

For applications subject to zero-leakage environmental mandates or extreme thermal loads, units can be equipped with maintenance-free, hermetically sealed magnetic couplings rated for fluid temperatures up to 300°C (572°F).

Performance Specifications

The performance matrix is scalable and structured to meet rigorous industrial demands, supporting both low- and high-viscosity transfer without compromising continuous flow rates.
