Bowie Rotary Gear Pumps

Cyclone Pump Range

Bowie Rotary Gear Pumps

Bowie rotary gear pumps are engineered for high-volume output and exceptional durability in demanding industrial environments. These pumps provide reliable, robust transfer solutions across a broad spectrum of challenging fluid media, including fresh and produced water, crude oil, condensates, harsh chemicals, solvents, acids, and abrasive drilling or fracturing fluids.

High-Volume Output Continuous Engineering Innovation Up to 1,173 L/min

Bowie Engineering Distinction: Built on a foundation of continuous engineering innovation, the Bowie product line is specifically designed to maximise operational lifespan and deliver superior volumetric performance under rigorous field conditions.

Product Overview

Bowie rotary gear pumps represent the pinnacle of positive displacement technology for applications requiring high flow rates and long-term reliability in uncompromising environments. Whether handling fresh water transfers, produced water lift, crude oil recovery, volatile condensates, or the most chemically aggressive fluids — including concentrated solvents, industrial acids, and shear-sensitive drilling and fracturing media — the Bowie series delivers consistent performance without compromise.

The engineering foundation emphasises operational longevity. Every component is designed to withstand extreme pressures, corrosive and abrasive media, and sustained high-speed operation. The result is a pump family that consistently outperforms traditional alternatives in both raw output capacity and service life across some of the most demanding industrial sectors, from upstream oil and gas to chemical processing and mine operations.

Series 300, 400, and 500 Operational Parameters

The Series 300, 400, and 500 models — available in nominal connection sizes of 50 mm, 75 mm, and 100 mm — are optimised for heavy-duty fluid transfer applications. To ensure mechanical longevity and prevent premature wear of internal components, these units must be operated strictly within their designated engineering thresholds.

Speed & Pressure Limits

Maximum Rotational Speed: 400 RPM. Maximum Internal Pressure: 6.9 bar (689 kPa).

Engineering Note

Operating beyond these parameters will accelerate internal wear and void component reliability. Adherence to these limits ensures optimal component lifespan and system integrity under all operational conditions.

Performance Specifications

When operating at the maximum recommended speed of 400 RPM with zero discharge pressure, the series achieves the following baseline volumetric flow rates.

530 L/min
2″ Model 31.8 m³/h baseline delivery rate
901 L/min
3″ Model 54.0 m³/h baseline delivery rate
1,173 L/min
4″ Model 70.4 m³/h baseline delivery rate

Engineering Note: These baseline delivery rates are operational approximations. Actual volumetric output will be directly impacted by the system’s operating pressure, differential head, and the variable kinematic viscosity of the pumped medium.

Fluid Media Compatibility

The Bowie series is engineered to handle a comprehensive range of fluid types and chemical compositions, from benign process waters to the harshest industrial fluids.

  • Fresh and produced water transfer (onshore and offshore)
