Drive Mechanisms & Control Architectures
Solenoid-Driven Diaphragms
Think of this architecture as a rapid, pulsing electromagnet. When the coil is energised, it magnetically pulls an armature connected to the pump diaphragm, creating a discharge stroke that forces fluid out. A heavy-duty spring then snaps the armature back, creating a vacuum to draw in the next micro-dose. It’s incredibly fast, repeatable, and reliable — ideal for applications requiring rapid response and high duty-cycle operation.
Stepper Motor Drives
This is where advanced automation meets mechanical precision. Using a microprocessor-controlled stepper motor tied to a mechanical cam, you get infinite control over the stroke profile. Pump Heads
The universal standard is usually machined or moulded PVDF, but depending on your thermal or solvent requirements, they can also be manufactured from PTFE (Teflon), Polypropylene, or 316L Stainless Steel, ensuring compatibility with virtually any chemical application.
Diaphragms
These are almost always engineered from solid PTFE. It delivers maximum flexibility and chemical resistance, allowing the pump to handle millions of cycles without wear or degradation.
Check Valves
To prevent messy backflow or siphoning, these pumps use precision double-ball check valves on both the suction and discharge sides. The valve balls are usually made from high-density ceramic, glass, or PTFE, and they sit snugly on chemical-specific O-rings like Viton or EPDM.
