Product Overview

Self-priming centrifugal pumps are engineered for applications where suction conditions are variable, air ingestion is possible, or the pumped medium is heavily laden with abrasive or fibrous solids. Unlike conventional centrifugal pumps that lose prime when exposed to suction-side air, these units automatically reprime through an integral recirculation chamber design.

The generous volute casing accommodates large, semi-open impellers engineered to pass solid matter without clogging. This makes them ideal for raw, unscreened sewage, paper stock suspensions, and any application where traditional centrifugal pumps would fail or require expensive straining systems.

Design Advantages & Key Features

Back Pull-Out Maintenance

Features a highly efficient back pull-out design. The entire rotating assembly — including the impeller, mechanical seal, and bearing housing — can be removed for routine service without disconnecting or disturbing the suction and discharge piping. This dramatically reduces maintenance downtime and labour costs.

Replaceable Wear Plates

Fitted with heavy-duty, easily replaceable wear plates as standard to protect the casing and preserve hydraulic efficiency in severe, abrasive applications. Replacement is a quick, low-cost maintenance operation.

Generous Volute Design

The spacious volute casing minimises fluid velocity losses and allows large solids to pass without restriction, reducing impeller damage and maintenance frequency.

Semi-Open Impeller Design

The impeller is specifically engineered to pass large spherical solids without clogging. The semi-open configuration provides exceptional clearance in critical areas.

Self-Priming Capability

True self-priming lift capability exceeds 6 metres at sea level. The pump automatically reprimes through an integral recirculation chamber when suction-side air is present. This eliminates the need for external suction check valves or auxiliary priming equipment.
